Prior to becoming a founding principal of Beecken Petty O’Keefe & Company in 1996, Ken was an investment banker and financial advisor to healthcare companies. From 1989 to 1996, he worked at First Chicago (now JP Morgan Chase) and a related joint venture. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1989, he worked in the Corporate Finance Department at Smith Barney, Inc. in New York, specializing in public offerings and mergers and acquisitions for healthcare companies.

Ken serves or has served on the board of directors of Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Origin Healthcare Solutions, PerfectServe, Inc., Same Day Surgery, LLC, Team Health, Inc., and Valitás Health Services, Inc.

Ken received a B.A. degree in economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Chicago.
